ENROLL IN MERCY CARE ADVANTAGE
Mercy Care Advantage contracts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to offer Medicare services
and prescription drug coverage for Mercy Care Plan members with Medicare. If you have Medicare Parts A & B, are on Medicaid
and live in Maricopa, Pima or Santa Cruz counties, you may be eligible to enroll.
As a member of Mercy Care Advantage, you would pay no premiums for your plan benefits or your Medicare Part D prescription
benefits. The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS/ALTCS) would pay your monthly Part B premiums.
Since you would qualify for the low income subsidy because you are on AHCCCS/ALTCS, Medicare would pay your monthly Part D
premium. Also, AHCCCS/ALTCS started paying for Medicare Part D prescription drug copayments on October 1, 2006 for full
benefit dual eligible members. AHCCCS will continue paying these copayments in 2007 as long as you remain eligible for both
Medicare and Medicaid.
