Coordination of Benefits

When a Mercy Care Advantage member also has Mercy Care Plan Medicaid services, Mercy Care Plan will coordinate payment of benefits.

Mercy Care Advantage is the primary payer and Mercy Care Plan is secondary. As the secondary payer, Mercy Care Plan will pay deductibles, premiums and copayments for covered Medicare services up to the lower of the Mercy Care Plan fee schedule or the Medicare/other insurance allowed amount.
