Preventive dental benefits:

There is no copay for the following preventive dental benefits:

  • 1 cleaning every 6 months
  • 1 oral exam every 6 months
  • 1 dental x-ray every year
  • 1 fluoride treatment every six months

Comprehensive dental services

Coverage for comprehensive dental services up to a $1,650 annual maximum with no copay includes the following services:
  • Extractions
  • Endodontic – Root Canals
  • Periodontics - Gum Treatment
  • Restorative services including Fillings, Replacement of defective fillings, Removal of decay, Single Unit Crowns
  • Anesthesia services, when appropriate with a covered dental service

No prior authorization is required. Mercy Care Advantage contracts directly with dental providers and allows members to select a dentist from a published dental directory. No PCP referral or prior authorization is required for a member to see a contracted general dentist.
