If you have a child enrolled in Mercy Care’s DD Program, we want you to understand your benefits. In addition to all of Mercy Care Plan’s regular benefits, your child has the following additional benefits:

  • Adaptive aids, which may include traction equipment, feeding aids (such as trays for wheelchairs), helmets, toileting aids, transfer aids and more. Once your child’s doctor has determined that an adaptive aid is needed, the aids may be provided by Mercy Care or the state’s Division for Developmental Disabilities, or you may purchase them.
  • Medically necessary practitioner visits to your home, which may include an aid helping your child learn things like brushing their teeth or becoming independent in using the bathroom, for example.

Once your child has been accepted into the DD Program, you can learn more about these services, how to find a doctor and more by contacting the DD member representative. You can reach the representative at (602) 238-9028. Learn more about how Mercy Care Plan’s DD member representative can help you.
